About The Speaker
What you will learn on this topic:
I have loved working spells and honouring the spirits of the land for as long as I can remember. For the last 27 years I have been walking the ways of magic and witchcraft in Norfolk, in the UK. I love the old crafts which are so intricately connected with the natural magic of the land. So, I spin, weave, dye and make felt from local wool, stitch simple baskets from plant material in the garden, carve wooden wands, knives and spoons, and make spirit dolls from whatever I have around me. I love ritual too, alone or with friends, and have often run big open events for our local Pagan community. I am a qualified medical herbalist and a teacher, not only of crafts, herbal medicine and magic, but also of English. The enchantment of words has always appealed to me, and it is the spell they cast which prompted me to write my most recent book, Of Chalk and Flint: A Way of Norfolk Magic, published by Troy Books. Twenty years before that, I wrote a Witch’s Kitchen, published by Capall Bann, and in the intervening years I have written many articles for various occult publications, including Quest, Pagan Dawn and The Cauldron.
